Katarzyna Buczek – doktor nauk humanistycznych, specjalizująca się w językoznawstwie. Opublikowała szereg artykułów naukowych m.in. "Bilingual Couples in Linguistics: A Systematic Review of Research Methods" (2024), "Expat vlogs: Bilingual couples share their lives on the Internet" (2023), "Levelling Of I-Umlaut in Classical and Post-Classical Old Frisian Nouns" (2022) oraz "A content analysis of Covid-19 pro-vaccine and anti-vaccine Internet memes in Poland" (2022). Uczestniczyła również jako prelegentka w konferencjach Open Linguistic Debates of the 21st Century oraz Second Language Learning and Teaching: Taking Stock and Looking Ahead. Od 2012 roku jest współredaktorką czasopisma naukowego Academic Journal of Modern Philology. Pełni funkcję wiceprzewodniczącej Komisji Nauk Filologicznych Oddziału Polskiej Akademii Nauk we Wrocławiu w kadencji 2023-2026.
