A graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom (Social Science: Politics and International Studies, 1998), a TESOL Trinity Certified Teacher (Trinity College, London, 1998) and a graduate of the University of Opole, specializing in a thesis in the field of dialectology (English Philology, 2004).

An employee of the Institute of Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Opole. Holds the position of Senior Lecturer. A British native speaker from Cheshire in the North-West of England.

An educator and a curriculum reviewer for the International Baccalaureate®.

Extensive experience as a speaker lecturing and holding workshops throughout Central and Eastern Europe for Cambridge English, in Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia and Ukraine.

Stephen is a language editor for Zagadnienia Rodzajów Literackich/The Problems of Literary Genres (University of Lodz), for the journal Explorations: A Journal of Language and Literature (University of Opole), and for the journal Studia Teologiczno-Historyczne Śląska Opolskiego (University of Opole).

Stephen has published widely on a plethora of topics in the field of language and literature, and cultural studies.
