The information presented below concerns research networks and consortia both in the strict sense<\/em>, i.e. understood more broadly \u2013 as an association of universities and institutions, research teams, and independent researchers from various countries, carrying out scientific or socio-scientific activities, usually organised around an overarching theme; but also in the narrower sense, i.e. the activities of advisory or expert bodies (and others), bringing together researchers from various centres around their work.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Professor \u0141ukasz Grabowski <\/strong>has been appointed to the<\/a> Advisory Board of the Czech National Corpus (CNC) research infrastructure for the 2024\u20132026 term. The Advisory Board is a permanent body of the Czech National Corpus research infrastructure, and its tasks include monitoring the scientific quality of the project, responding to the current needs and requests of infrastructure users, and advising on short-term and long-term strategic decisions. The Advisory Board consists of seven members\/experts from the fields of corpus linguistics, quantitative linguistics, natural language processing and digital humanities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

International Society for Humor Studies, ISHS \u2013 Prof. Dorota Brzozowska <\/strong>is a member of the ISHS Executive Board for the 2022\u20132026 term. Her role involves reviewing and advising on research initiatives, nominating researchers for the society\u2019s awards and grants, co-organising events, and providing academic oversight of research. The team consists of two researchers: Lidia Przymusza\u0142a (linguist) and Dorota \u015awita\u0142a-Trybek (cultural studies scholar), who conduct interdisciplinary research on the cultural heritage of Silesia (particularly its culinary heritage). The result of the researchers\u2019 long-standing collaboration is a wealth of articles and monographs (both authored and edited) on this subject, and above all the Lexicon of Silesian Culinary Heritage (Opole 2021, published by the University of Opole). The team\u2019s aim for the coming years is to prepare further volumes of the Lexicon, devoted to various aspects of Silesian cuisine. Work is currently underway on the next volume of the Lexicon of Silesian Culinary Heritage. Vol. 2: Cookware and Kitchen Utensils.<\/span><\/p>\n
