The third edition of the International Encyclopedia of Language and Linguistics has been published by Elsevier in the United Kingdom. Comprising 14 volumes and approximately 9,000 pages, it is widely regarded as one of the most important reference works in the field of linguistics worldwide. We are pleased to announce that Łukasz Grabowski of the Institute of Linguistics at the University of Opole is the first author of two chapters – on levelling out in translation and interpreting and on extended units of meaning-lexical items – included in this monumental encyclopaedia. Participation in this major international project represents a significant distinction for a researcher from Poland and an opportunity to contribute to a publication that has long served as a key reference source for scholars of language and communication around the world.
